I tried changing my time, the countdown remains the same tho
It's linked to their servers time zone changing won't work. Guess they didn't want to East coast to get an advantage over the west or something. Why I'm going physical
Edit: I think it's because if they allow you to preload the game, if they didn't link it to their servers you could just turn the date to yourv system to 9th and play whenever you wanted.

But if the download opens at 12 and most people go to get they copies at midnight, those who downloaded should usually be playing first unless u happen to be one of the few who breaks the street date

With a game that's 40GB and everyone would be downloading at once that would crash the servers or wouldn't be done until the morning next day.
I think it's because if they allow you to preload the game, if they didn't link the time to their servers you could just turn the date to your system to 9th and play whenever you wanted. They don't want California nikkas playing at 10pm I guess.
