IMO its wack that raids will not support online matchmaking. You need 6 people on your friends list all jumping into a raid at the same time. Maybe yalls friends list is a little different than mine but even at the height of CoD popularity i rarely had 6 people who all wanted to play at once. People were usually in various stages of playing a game and then one by one other friends would join.

Strike missions were matchmaking, so I would assume raids are

Raids are “extremely crafted,” six-player, friends-only gauntlet runs that might best be described as gut-checks. Yes, they will be difficult, and they will absolutely require communication and cooperation. That’s why Bungie isn’t supporting matchmaking for them; the developers don’t want them to be played by disparate groups of strangers.

Sucks that a lot of gamers wont even be able to play a big chunk of the end game.

Just talked to a friend making the game. There's a post explaining it on GAF as well.

Basically it boils down to this...These raids need talking and teamwork if you wanna succeed doing them. If you're posting on an internet community like thecoli or bytchass GAF, you have people here to get into these raids with and use communication needed. With the raids taking hours, it wont be some small feat.

In short, if you're posting on a internet forum community, you've got more than enough people/friends to run raids with.

Haven't really asked. I'd rather be surprised when the full game drops. I did hear 3rd person view for the full game is as good as done...Which Im excited about.

Does he know if there is an option for less HUD. Like a big gripe of mine are the numbers popping up when I'm shooting things shyt. It takes away from the beauty of the game in my opinion.

I wouldn't want to run raids with random CaCs who scream "fukk that ******" everytime their bytch ass gets killed by The Vex anyway. So I don't mind Bungie making the raids friends only. If you can't find 5 other people to run raids on your friends list, especially if you post here, then you got your priorities in life fukked up :yeshrug:

Cosign. I really have no desire to play with cacs. Met a random black dude join my fire team and played Devil's Lair. Breh was cool as hell :ohlawd:

Later a cac joined and I hit his ass with the :camby:

It does seem like it'll be tough to find six friends but with a limit of 2000's friends on your friend list just start friending up randoms you play with

whats the diff between a raid and a strike?

Strikes are smaller. Like 20-60 minutes to complete. Raids, according to Bungie, are gonna take hours and will require a lot of teamwork to get through it.

That’s why Bungie isn’t supporting matchmaking for them; the developers don’t want them to be played by disparate groups of strangers. But Smith is quick to point out that they’re not like Strikes – the instanced dungeon-like runs that might take a mere 20-60 minutes – but more like MMO raids in that you’re going to want to buckle up and get comfortable for a couple hours.

I think the goal is folks you run with on your fire teams will probably make it to your friends list.

So I'm guessing that's a way to build your team up.

There should be no problem having folks to go.through the raid.

I think it's a good idea because I met some cool ass folks who randomly invited me to their fire teams.
