Sad story but this episode was kinda boring tbh. Would have preferred another hour on candido & sunny

Yeah - outside of the catastrophic injury, I didn't feel Magnum fit the series.

Almost feel like they had to be like... So here is his wife. ... Here is Magnum running through Magnums in every city he went

Magnum was before my time, but to compare him to Hogan when they already had their Hogan in Flair was asinine to me...

Magnum at best would've been Luger or Sting in the lexicon of history....

Kinda crazy how Nikita Koloff never went to the WWF

From what I've seen on this Vince tried to get him in '85 and push him to a World title feud with Hogan but he declined... then the following year was gonna sign him and make him IC champ, he again declined. He was happy with where he was on the card in the NWA around that time. Some years later when NWA/WCW was starting to go haywire and Nikita was sliding down the card somewhat he was interested in possibly joining WWF but Vince wasn't interested anymore. His wife got ill in '88, he left NWA and never really came back for a long period of time after that.

Dude obviously had the the juice lol he even rebounded and got another wife.

But overall magnum episode was alright there wasn't a lot of new info and they probably should of went deeper into the pitfalls of fame and his how it messed with his psyche at the time. But who knows maybe they had to tell the story a certain way.
