Jake was mentally abused by Grizz & sexually abused/dismissed by his step mother, but he's hugging up on his dad as an old man.
Sam Houston is a perennial fukk up who got bailed out by his dad multiple times never correcting his actions but excusing them, but he's sad that Grizz died while he was in prison.
The other son was put up for adoption by this mufukka, and still took care of him when he was on his death bed.
