Ya gotta understand... when I was on BTC, I bought on Coinbase. At the time because everything was so new and volatile, Coinbase had a 7 day hold period, so you buy, you can't sell for a week. I was young and took a big gamble with my family's money, so I panicked when the price skyrocketed then started tanking. I also had some holdings on BTC-e that were seized by the government. This was also around the time Mt Gox had a big scandal with tons of BTC stolen. I almost bought a Bitcoin miner at the time from a company that ended up stealing everyone's money.
Bitcoin was not for the faint of heart 7 years ago. It's a bytch to see the price where it is, but in retrospect, I don't have the conviction of @heisenburrr so it's not like I would still be holding onto it today if I would have seen it thousands higher.
As an aside, I spoke with the CEO of Coinbase and almost took a job there when it was maybe 5 to 10 people. That would have been worth much more.
