This is brazy. Mets gotta go to Milwaukee and then back to ATL for this. While the Braves spend the entire time at home in their homes and beds. God hates us!
Its raining in New York now, its raining on first take. It's still dry here.

All the madness starts at 2, just me and this bourbon.

The remaining games vs the New York Mets scheduled for 9/25 and 9/26 have been postponed due to current and forecasted weather impacting the Atlanta area. Both games have been rescheduled as part of a traditional doubleheader on Monday, September 30th. The first game will begin at 1:10 PM ET. Game two will begin approximately 40 minutes after the last out of game one. Monday is a single admission doubleheader with only one ticket required for both games.

Tickets for tonight’s game – 9/25 – will not be valid for admission on Monday.

Tickets for tomorrow’s game – 9/26 – will be honored on Monday – 9/30 – when gates open at 11:30 AM ET.

All ticket holders will receive additional information via email.

It’s not so bad. Their Friday KC game will likely get rained out meaning a double header for them right before Monday, meaning they’ll have to play 5 games in 3 days.

They’ll also burn through their best pitchers right before they face us.

Good points.

Are the Braves in the playoffs?
The Braves have not yet clinched a playoff spot, but they did jump to the No. 5 seed on Friday and now have a magic number of just one. A win OR a Diamondbacks loss on Sunday would get them into the postseason, and they can't be eliminated on Sunday.

The Braves hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Diamondbacks, and one more win over the Mets would give them that tiebreaker as well. In a three-team tie, the Braves and Mets would advance.

Are the Mets in the playoffs?
The Mets have not yet clinched a postseason berth, though they currently hold the NL's No. 6 seed.

There is still plenty of uncertainty surrounding the Mets, as their season could come down to a Monday doubleheader against the Braves. The mission is clear, though: win two more games and make the playoffs.

Any more help from the Padres against the Diamondbacks on Sunday would make the Mets' path to the postseason much easier; a win and a Diamondbacks loss would allow New York to clinch and avoid a doubleheader.

Are the Diamondbacks in the playoffs?
The Diamondbacks are currently out of the postseason picture and no longer control their fate entering Sunday, but they are still in contention.

The Diamondbacks cannot clinch a postseason berth on Sunday, but they can be eliminated with a loss and wins by both the Mets and Braves. In a best-case scenario, Arizona can clinch a postseason berth on Monday if they do their part and win the series finale against the Padres

Despite finishing with five more wins than the 2023 squad, the Diamondbacks have not gotten into the Postseason yet. The New York Mets beat the Milwaukee Brewers and the Atlanta Braves lost to the Kansas City Royals.

Those results mean that the only way for Arizona to get into the Postseason is for one of those two teams to sweep Monday's double header between them. If one team sweeps, they fly to Milwaukee to play in the Wild Card round. A doubleheader split means the D-backs are out of the Postseason.

Thus the D-backs will have to wait until the completion of the second game of the doubleheader to know their fate. It's notable that Atlanta has held Cy Young candidate Chris Sale back for game two of that doubleheader. If the Braves lose game one, then they'll pitch Sale. If they win game one, then they save Sale for the Wild Card round against the Padres.

Already got the feeling that the Mets are gonna get trampled over in this first game :snoop:

Can never beat Atlanta when it counts.

If they lose Game 2 to a bunch of farm players and bullpen, the clowning will be one for the ages :francis:
