Of course the ATL
We totally disagree on this. This is easy as hell, draft Trey Lance. In 2022-23, we will be thankful for the pick. QB2, the 2nd best prospect in this draft. No brainer. Let's not pass on CP3 for Marvin Williams or Sheldon Williams.

The Falcons and new GM Terry Fontenot are saying BPA. The 4th QB taken isn’t gonna be the best player at that point in the draft so I have a hard time seeing them picking Lance

Also, Matt is your QB until at least 2023. Falcons don’t have the luxury cap flexibility to draft a QB that high and watch him sit for 2 years. Trade back, get some talent on defense, shore up a few holes on offense (RB & OL) and get after it. I don’t see picking a QB at #4 as the smartest play based on where we’re at as a franchise

Could be the homer in me but imo there’s a universe where Jamie Newman actually plays at UGA and solidifies himself as a 1st round talent. Actually profiles similarly to Trey(physical traits of a starter that need developing, limited time as a starter) and we could get him at a discount. Maybe after a trade down you take a shot on him Day 2

:snoop:

Why would we waste our top pick on a strength?
If you look at our top 4 pass catchers (Julio,Calvin, Hurst, Gage) only one of those guys is guaranteed to be on the team past this season, which is why Pitts would make sense here too
