This was brought about from the thread on cancer.......lets get preventative and proactive out this biitch......I mean earth

OP knows diddly about gardening :shaq2:

Discuss gardening. Referring to crops you eat, not err... ummm.....blow. :smugfavre::birdman:

Areas of potential discussion

1) Do you grow anything, tomatoes, lettuce, etc (again not talking euphoric crop :ahh:)
2)If you do grow your own vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices? Tips, resources, best vegetables to grow in your neck of the woods? How do people in urban environments living in apts/townhomes, dorms with NO BACKYARDS even consider this?
3)Why do urban/black people or young folks 20, 30, 40s in general have seemingly less ability/interest in agriculture or basic gardening for food??
4)Many of yall live in large urban areas with local farms in the city?? Whats your experience if any? Anybody part of a Co-op?
5) GMO vs Organic. News articles/videos/studies/radio broadcasts. Forums.
6) Whats on the horizon. Example: vertical farming, indoor fish farming, aquaponics, hydroponics (hey!....put the philly down)
7) The arts and gardening/agriculture: music, movies, television shows.
8) Farmer's markets/selling your produce. Careers. Educational opportunities

If it gets moved :yeshrug:, I think it could sustain and be relevant in the Locker Room..maybe

 my stuff won't help most though because I live outside of the city...
I've seen indoor grow boxes :scheme: but I'm not sure how they work.. but there are inexpensive ways to grow little indoor gardens
This Website shows you farms near you, where you can pick fresh fruits/vegetables.

Growing Marijuana?:mjpls:

Read the terms at the beginning of the thread breh. :aicmon: There is thread for that in JBO. Plus, I put a thread on potential hemp cultivation in a congressional bill in Higher Learning, just this past weekend.

This is just about "regular" vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices. :yeshrug:

Humanity
i grow tomatoes, potatoes, chives, strawberries, onions, peppers, lettuce, spinach, and all sorts of herbs.
i also have a fig tree but that shyt gets on my nerves because my backyard is rather small, i trimmed it down quite a bit recently. i'll post some pics of what i got going soon.

Got one of those raised bed gardens....spinach, kale and tomatoes
Got a trough garden planter with herbs...cilantro and basil

Potted some mint on their own because they grow rapidly and can take over your planter

Already harvested the spinach, kale and herbs couple of times...:mj:
Scheming on the tomatoes...looking real plump.
