Bro everything you're saying here is wrong.

Brehs in this thread including OP and myself work in marketing and you're way off.

Italy is not gonna sue breh :deadrose:

Of course they're not, they have no legal right to assert their claim. That's clearly set out by me within the information I've provided in this thread. I've never said Italy will sue. They sold the commercial rights.

I have qualified the position I've set out. At the current level of this project their is no danger. But if you genuinely think a car company called their car the Ford Colosseum and used the silhouette of the Colosseum as a badged logo on the back and in all the commercial advertisement branding that they wouldn't face a challenge then I don't know what to tell you. Replace Ford with Ethereum and it'd be the same.

The reason for this is not the name. It is entirely the image branding. The name adds the weight to argument that the action was wilful.

It's not due to a generic colosseum, as you can see with the colosseum at Ceasers Palace in Vegas. It's entirely down to the clear representation of the Colosseum in Rome being used.

This isn't permitted under Italian laws. Their Codice Urbani laws don't allow for freedom of panorama. If you don't believe me, Google it.

Work in marketing all you like, but I assure you the law is an entirely different matter.

But like I said, we're discussing a largely academic point at this stage.

I don't really think there's anything further to add on this subject.

@Red I don't think you're a hater. And I'll let that cognitive insult you made slide, because I know that's what happens when someone feels they're losing an argument, they resort to insults.

I could tear apart that response you wrote. And you and me can go back and forth on this for the next half century. But it's clear to me you're only arguing for the sake of arguing. I know that because you have no investment in any of this. You're a bystander. And save me the pretense of claiming you actually care about what happens with the project---whether we get sued by the "Italian State" or not means nothing to you.

If you'd rather me start breaking down your rant, point by point, In my next post I will. Otherwise, we can mutually agree to just leave it alone.

You came in here trying to sound smart. and when you got challenged on it, you didn't want to look foolish.

If it meant that much to you for us to avoid some sort of legal issue, you could've hit me in the PM. Be like "Hey breh just want to make you aware that the logo could cause a few problems, just looking out". And I would've been like 'Alright cool, what's up with it". Could have had a civil discussion.

But you scamper up in here all arrogant, talking bout 'Coliseum is obviously not how you spell colosseum'. Talking about we'll have to pay a significant sum and we gonna get refused.

Do you, and the few others, not have self-awareness? Y'all come at us wrong and then think I'm the one with the problem.

Why, Red, couldn't you have just said this: "if you get your token to worldwide notoriety (highly unlikely) then the current branding will become an issue. You could always change when you get the cease and desist, if they don't jump straight into litigation."

What you wrote here was perfectly reasonable. I would've asked for more details, but it was cool. This whole back and forth was unnecessary. But you just couldn't let it go---even though there's nothing in it for you.

You wasted your actual time coming back to this thread, not to ask questions, not to learn about COLI, not to talk about the latest info, nah...Solely to try and be right. I still disagree with you, and think you're wrong. But I had to remind myself I'm talking to somebody who has zero invested in the project.

I prefer not to write another article-length post explaining why you're still wrong, but I will if you want to continue this foolishness..

It's not like you have skin in the game, and you want to ensure that the project you poured your money in stays intact. You have nothing here, and keep coming back to argue. Y'all are wild on this forum...
