The thing thats stands out the most to me is how everybody (save Morita obviously) was alive and well for this. Its not the same series without Kreese and Silver or even the homey Chozen. And all the originals except Zabka are 60 and up and they still look good and can move pretty well. Although, I gotta say, the stunt double work on that boat scene was 70s low budget blackspoitation bad. Like they didnt even try .

I am on record regarding my issues with his old ass fighting everybody . That aint my problem here though. My issue is the "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka" level job they did with the doubles. My man's wig wasnt near the same length, style, or even the same color .

Crazy how this show started on YouTube Red, got bought by Netflix and turned into one of their biggest shows.

Classic series

One of the most unrealistic things about this show, though, is the tournaments.

In earlier seasons, they had girls vs. boys, and in later seasons, they had fighters going up against opponents much taller and heavier than them.

None of that would EVER happen in real life. For example, an Axel vs. Robby fight would be suicide for Robby in the real world lol


Obviously, I know that it provides for good TV drama

Finally finished this
I don't think Netflix has completed such a good run with a show in recent years. The tone, the things that made it great were there from the first to the last season. Looking back I'd expect Netflix to add a tranny karate champion in season three or something.
Show was everything someone like me who watched the Karate Kid lots of times as a kid could hope for
