I had Camp on my phone a while back and fukked with the concept and that story with him talking at the end tugged at the heart strings, but it didn't get a lot of spins because something about his voice probably grated my ears.
Reading this thread makes me have to download this though. I hope I won't be let down. I'm in need of dope fukking music right now.

. but this "project" and i dont use album because it is much more than just an album will rank amongst the greatest projects of all time. THere truly is nothing like it.

I'm a huge CG fan so let me say that while I like the album my gripe is that nikkas are taking these CONCEPT albums too far these days. It's great but it makes the shyt unlistenable in the future. Just like GKMC, I can't even listen to it because of all the skits now. I wish Gambino would just stick to making songs instead of adding all these interjections in the middle of them where he talks briefly or throws the beat off a bit or has the track stutter, etc.
My favorite songs are the ones that are straightforward w/o the tomfoolery in the middle of the song.

Royalty made me a proper fan of CG.
This is good but I cant see myself playing most tunes alot unless i let the whole album play through

The actual musical parts are all fire but the transitions straight up ruin the song to the point where I dont even wanna play it
When he spits that one verse after the intro and then all that loud ass crashing static starts playing out my speakers
concept album or not that's unnecessary.
Fantano is going in on CG (primarily the screenplay) on his twitter, sound like he's still holding a grudge against him from Camp. He's gonna shyt on the screenplay and say the album was average but I'm curious to see his review.
