i feel you. that type of detail people really really get into and can push a show into another category. kind of a slap in the face to folks really trying to get into it. still a little nitpicky but it does matter

Directors personalities shine through in what they direct, how they guide their actors, what their narratives focus on, etc. it's pretty simple to understand.

you get a view into Spike Lees personality in anything he directs, you can see what's important to him. Same with Tarantino, etc.
