If this is true, that would be wild. I thought he was gonna get the nod for Wakanda Forever but better late than never. Could be bullshyt though until the ink is dry.

I agree with her take. Its easy to see how some black male actors may be cautious about working with Disney /Marvel. If they'll jerk around an academy award winning actor like Mahershala Ali then they'll do anybody dirty.
Yea, just reading the initial rumor from the sneider guy that black actors were too shook bc Chad's "shoes were too big to fill"... that came across like cap.

Like, these aren't NBA players sitting on guaranteed $300 million max deals. The only reason a black actor wouldn't jump on the opportunity to be the franchise star of a multi-billion dollar IP rivaling Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, etc., would be if they were getting major red flags in the negotiations.

I was thinkin the deterrent was 360 deal type ish in which the pay wasn't mathing with the obligations... but after viewing her video what she's heard is more plausible. If it's just a one-off cameo in an Avenger movie with no franchise deal... fukk that. I really hope Coogler ain't the one fukking this up bc he's hell bent on pushing this b*stard son storyline.

Yeah she basically said it at 6:18 and onwards
:francis:I really hate the T’Challa Jr bs that’s just lazy storytelling. And the fact that he’s being raised by a single parent smh.

Yep. If We want T'Challa back then Coogler has to go.

T'Child is a new character and Marvel will have to pay Coogler anytime they use T'Child for any merchandise. That's probably the real reason Coogler doesn't want to recast IMO.

Love that Black Male actors AREN'T falling for the Disney Okie Doke again:smugbiden:

There is ZERO upside for an upcoming Black Actor to play a variant Multiverse T'Challa.

1. You AINT getting a franchise.
2. You will be BUSHED after 1-2 movies (Doomday and Secret Wars).
3. You'll be LOWBALLED in Salary because of reasons 1 & 2.
4. They've shown that Black Males are DISPOSABLE with their treatment of T'Challa and J majors.
5. You WON'T be in Black Panther 3 as Coogler wants to tell stories about Shurri and T'challa jr "growing up" :scust:
