If Lady Eve had the cheat codes for Lala, why didn't she use that when he 1st came to extort her for money :patrice:, had homie sitting like a dog :mjlol:.

Looks like they wrote Khalil out of the picture for now, character might have had it the worse since the show started up. Shot, paralyzed, forced to work for Tobias, spine ripped out, died, brought back to life and forced to work for Odell, killed his own mother, and now has a psycho program living in his head :bryan:

Gravedigger was the original meta and now he has even more powers thanks to Lynn :ohhh:

It is good to see the Pierce family back on track, they need to be united for the Markovian invasion :ehh:

That might be a result of the CW more than Mara. All of the CW shows have a certain style & feel.

That's what we have, though. The Pearce family & their inner circle are all heroes. But they're a family first.
Showing them eating a meal together or having an argument humanizes them and makes them more realistic. Watching them try to fight villains while they have some family/personal drama on their minds is a layer that we don't get in other superhero movies and shows.
Also, if they show the Pearces having a nice family moment, you can bet some fukkery is right around the corner.

Go back and rewatch season 1. We get Jeff's backstory/origin pretty early.
We learn about his athletic past, his previous stint as BL, and his career as a school principal who is respected throughout the city. We also regularly see Jeff embrace his Blackness and carry himself with honor and pride.
As far as action, we saw BL take on Tobias & his henchmen, Lala, the 100, the cops, and random criminals, all while Lady Eve was pulling strings in the background. We also learned whether or not we could trust Gambi, which led us to a new set of villains. This was all before the Pearce girls got their powers!
We don't even get that much character buildup in some of the DC or Marvel superhero movies.
