Unfortunately that's probably true (look at right wing twitter, they've already shook it off as a hoax), but this enthusiasm momentum is still good for the Democrats IMO.

Another reason why there was no post convention bounce. Voters have already made up their minds. Nothing Trumps does at this stage is going to change their minds.


All he has left is to try to steal it

I don't disagree about "whats in it for them, and they don't make any money", but it's not something a president should be thinking much less saying. I would never, never die for my country, or even put myself in that spot.
