It explicitly says the U.S House of Reps decide not the state legislature meaning all 435 members have to vote

No, each state delegation votes. So, all 435 members vote but they vote according to state delegation.

California's delegation is majority democrat, so they will vote for Biden, thats one vote.

Wyoming's delegation is majority Republican, cause its only 1 member, she wil vote for Trump. That's one vote.

Trump could lose the electoral college and popular vote and still win.

The Amendment requires the House to choose the president by voting as states, not as individual members. So, instead of 435 individual votes, there would be 50 state votes.

The Amendment does not say how the representatives for each state should decide their state’s vote. If the current House were tasked with selecting the next president, and states with more Republicans than Democrats in their delegation voted for Trump, he would win 25 votes. Twenty-three states have more Democratic House members than Republican, so the Democratic candidate would likely receive 23 votes. Florida and Pennsylvania are evenly split between Democrats and Republicans, leaving their presidential votes up in the air. Whether the District of Columbia would be allowed to vote at all in this circumstance is not entirely certain. The text of the Twelfth Amendment suggests that only states can vote, but the Twenty-Third Amendment gave D.C. electors who vote for president and “perform such duties” as required by the Twelfth.

While I do worry that removing the filibuster might bite the Dems in the ass down the line, it really does seem like that's the only way anything at all gets passed. :yeshrug:

Can they temporarily remove the filibuster for a year or something? :troll:

Since the Rs are gutter fighters the only thing you can do they'll respect with a bloodied nose and to keep em away from power again is to fight at their level (ie remove the filibuster)

What Dems DON'T do well still and need to start is gaming the refs, ie calling the media on their shyt. Every time in press briefings Biden and his people (hopefully) hold nikkas need to attack reporters and especially certain outfits when they carry any water or talk bullshyt for the other side. Make em sweat so they know they better not come with nonsense and will be shamed if they do. Rs do this and have profited, we need to especially since actual facts are on our side

yo...do we actually want the democrats to be encouraging a LOT of people to vote by mail?

if your polling place always has long lines, or you're old, then yeah vote by mail. but between trump putting his thugs in charge of the post office and all this fukkin bullshyt...don't we want as many people to vote in person as they can :patrice:

im not sure a massive push to vote by mail is actually gonna help us win

I hope the F.B.I. is watching in the cut all the way up through election day to catch any be the Trump Adminstration is trying to pull.

Rotten Apple
MSNBC is one network and they aren't even that aligned with the party's interests.

The Republican party machine goes from TV, radio, websites, newspapers, etc. Its bigger than rap.
Yeah they do that because basically all of mainstream media leans left but I hear you
