low-key, yeah.

they're gonna redraw the maps and take the House in 2 years. Plus pass shytty laws and re-take Warnock's seat too
Nah man, the moderates/centrists told me that Biden was the key to down ballot victory. You can't possibly tell me Republicans won all those races and young/black/latino turnout sucked

They're only hard cause most potential Dems don't vote. They don't vote cause they see nothing for them in our elected officials.

No one voted for Biden. Even he knows that, that's why he hardly campaigned in person, why no one showed when he did. It's why he was trash in the primaries until the establishment brought down the hammer and said he was the pick. Why he was trash the previous times he ran for president too. People were voting against Trump, that's the only reason he won. Same shyt Clinton tried to do in 2016, only it failed cause the Trump hate hadn't built strong enough to overcome everyone's own lack of interest in her.

You want to start winning, you need a candidate folk are actually voting FOR. Someone who makes people want to come out for that candidate and not just against the other candidate. We had that with 2008 Obama but he didn't keep his promise of change. Other than that we keep getting these bullshyt establishment retreads (Kerry, Clinton, Biden) that are the same ones who fukked this country up. Same ones who voted for prisons and wars and wall street instead of Black folk and the poor.

Black folk, Latinos, and millennials are the future of the country. Either you appeal to them and win everywhere but the deep red, or they'll keep giving you 50-60% turnout and you won't win anywhere but your base.

Since you're a Bro, why didn't Bernie win?

1. Not enough older folk seriously believed he could win in the general election and they wanted to pick the "most electable" candidate.

2. He didn't know how to build personal inroads in states outside of his region, so he had to rely on his surrogates, who were more effective in some places than others.

3. The Democratic establishment didn't want him to win and did everything to coalesce around Bernie's opposition once they knew who could beat him.

I think Bernie could have won in 2016 or 2020 if the DNC had kept their hand off the scales. But even now conditions aren't ideal. It's gonna be perfect for a real progressive candidate in 2028 and onwards cause the generational shift will be so strong by then - millennials and younger will be the MAJORITY of the vote pretty soon and the Black/Brown % will be even larger than it is right now. The question is whether Democrat leadership is willing to shift to the new reality, or whether they will keep trying to appeal to the center-right and just assume the left will follow along cause they have no other option.

"Finger on the scales" is so cringe worthy.

The dude just isn't as popular as you think. If Dems thought he could win they would nominate him.

That's it in a nutshell. The GOP leadership didn't want Trump to win in 2016 either and he overwhelmed them. Bernie had great policies that could transform America, but people need to be honest about him as well, he wouldn't have won in 2020.
