The only reason Garland was chosen for that seat was he was a moderate that Republicans liked..... and they wouldn’t even meet with him. But what does say is he chose a by-the-book guy who we don’t know what type of hand he will play. We feel like Yates would go after Trump’s crew or Doug Jones would smash white supremacists head in from Day 1. This scares the GOP, white collar criminals, and Trump associates more than you can imagine.
If I had to guess, this opens up any possible SC slots to “non-white males”, because no one will be clamoring for Garland if one does open. And he’ll bring integrity and class back for sure.

Yup. I get it...Biden can now replace Garland, who is 68, on the DC circuit court with someone who can serve for the next couple decades. That's important. It makes sense. But still...he could have picked anyone. Garland could have retired from the court on Jan 21st and been replaced by another judge....they didn't have to give him another job.
He's a good guy, he's worked at the DOJ before and will clearly bring integrity back...but I wanted a firebrand. Someone like Eric Holdr...

He's way too centrist. Also, he's probably going to say that he won't prosecute Trump because "it's time to move on and heal our country"
Doug Jones is qualified to be AG and Doug Jones is an "institutionalist". However, Jones isn't a p*ssy like Garland, he would have been a much better pick
