Reform the police would have been fine if they (understandably) wanted to focus on the police after all the unwarranted, unlawful violence perpetrated against black bodies.

I’m still a fan of refund the people. Probably would be twisted by the republicans as socialist, but everyone loves being refunded as it implies you are owed something and under that umbrella you would be defunding the police so it would be taking a page out of the republicans playbook of saying something and doing more stuff in the fine print.

overall just another messaging failure and the insistence to die on that hill is just a compounding of stubbornness and more failure
