So these dudes see the grift, and are trying to get in on the grift, knowing that regardless, Trump will not gain anything from this election but further disdain from the general public, and will likely be in a host of legal trouble down the line

As much as I'd love to see it, I don't see feds (or even New York) bringing criminal charges against Trump. Not because they couldn't, but because they're too afraid of MAGAs wilding out and don't want to deal with the repercussions.
I'd LOVE to be wrong but after four years of Trump getting away with everything I just can't fathom them indicting a former POTUS (even Trump).
