Probably posted a while back but I just stumbled across this. :wow:

Most notably, the stark economic rift that Brookings Metro documented after Donald Trump’s shocking 2016 victory has grown even wider. In 2016, we wrote that the 2,584 counties that Trump won generated just 36% of the country’s economic output, whereas the 472 counties Hillary Clinton carried equated to almost two-thirds of the nation’s aggregate economy.

A similar analysis for last week’s election shows these trends continuing, albeit with a different political outcome. This time, Biden’s winning base in 477 counties encompasses fully 70% of America’s economic activity, while Trump’s losing base of 2,497 counties represents just 29% of the economy. (Votes are still outstanding in 110 mostly low-output counties, and this piece will be updated as new data is reported.)

Biden-voting counties equal 70% of America’s economy. What does this mean for the nation’s political-economic divide?

It's funny. I'm convinced a lot of brehs on here just want a Democratic version of Trump. A "fighter", someone that "tells it like it is" and yet they don't understand people that vote for Trump or shyt on him for doing the same things they want Joe to do. :mjpls:

Nah, this is where lines get blurred.

Folks want Biden to fight and be just as nasty and vindictive, but that is a slippery slope, but that slope is tough to see when Trump's shyte is on full display.

He already won and is above 270 with the states who are absolutely not on the bs.

But as usual you have dudes in here pulling a chicken little and screaming Dems Weak Dems Weak for daps.

Trump was always gonna have to be removed by force on Jan 20th and he was always gonna act up until then. All the WWF style showboating won't change it. Joe is right to focus on this virus instead of Trump, who has gotten far too much attention over the past four years as it is.

If yoy're still jumping on Democrats right now you're a fuccboi for life in my eyes. Or as big of an attention whore as Trump. Or both.
Yes, the Democratic party should sit by and let the GOP and Trump rile up 73M people undermining democracy and do nothing. Yet they wonder why the GOP beats them in messaging and they are weak. Biden has constantly called for unity with people that have no intention of respecting him nor working with him. He's talking to a wall while fukking over HIS VOTERS by saying he doesn't want to prosecute Trump, stacks his transition and cabinet with corporatist shills who go against his campaign promises, etc. Joe's actions are telling the people he lied to get elected. That's like saying you should work with the KKK or Nazis even though they literally want you dead and while shytting on the very people who are opposed to racists. None of what the GOP or Trump is doing is normal and setting a precedent for a skilled authoritarian to run wild because the Democratic party will not step on these people's throats with mass prosecution. If this had been Obama the GOP would've thrown the book at him and prosecuted his officials. People magically think 73M people will magically change is laughable they'll just vote in GOP senators waiting for a smoother and more skilled authoritarian while Democrats still are lost in the wilderness caving to LGBTQ , latinx, etc garbage while alienating working class Latinos and taking black Americans for granted
