How will they win the presidency when the only reason they are close is because Trump magically mega charges rural turnout.

They will find someone who will run on messages similar to but more refined and palatable than Trump’s (immigration, white supremacy, anti-elitism, faux populism) without his baggage.

Rural turnout may decline, but they will win back a lot of suburbanites who were put off by Trump. If it’s Pence, he probably wouldn’t lose much of any of Cult 45 cause they will see it as carrying on the MAGA legacy.
