I never said it was cheating. But to deny that there was a coordination of their dropping out is denying reality.

It probably was the best strategy for this particular election cycle but it was not a process that was allowed to play out naturally.

We are never going to know what would have happened Bernie v. Trump, I'm not going to deal in hypotheticals, but to say Bernie lost solely on the rejection of his platform was clearly not the case as even Biden adopted many of his policies into the eventual platform that he arrived at even if they were not the frontward facing issues that he campaigned on.

so you all were expecting the centrists to split the vote 5 ways and allow bernie to take it? that wouldn't have been an accurate representation of the democratic electorate if the vast majority of voters were in camps you all viewed as centrists.

I expected them to all go on the offensive against Sanders for being a socialist, which happened. I did not expect the sudden Warren turn when she held many of the same policy beliefs. I will also say that yes I expected some of them to attempt to stay in the race longer than they did rather than all drop out that quickly. I underestimated that level of coordination by people who were running against each other.

I am also confused why I am seeing people in here saying Progressives didn't get in line with the party when we had an all hands on deck execution by the squad and Sanders himself to get Biden elected. They were doing many voter registration drives in MN, MI, TX, and GA. Sanders did more campaign stops for Hillary down the stretch than she did herself in 2016 so I'm not sure why there is this sentiment that the progressive candidates themselves did not help out in the effort. It just seems like leftist boogeymanning, which the right does enough of already.
