But you're forgetting that they could get so desperate they'll try to rewrite the law and SCOTUS could uphold. And SCOTUS could even argue that the legislature alone has the power based on their twisted logic in a 5-4 decision.
I don't think this is gonna happen but it's not impossible. If it did, the next step would be uprisings targeting the PA legislature, SCOTUS and Republicans Washington residences.
