They're bringing up an interesting point on CNN right now:

I wonder if one of the reasons Biden has got a historic amount of the popular vote but Dems got destroyed down ballot is because people were sick of Trump, but wanted Republicans to keep him in check because they didn't want Dems to pack the court or do any of the other agendas they floated.
i dont buy it

maybe a few people did this but maine was the only state to split between biden and a republican senator. the house races are dems coming back to earth after they crushed the midterms with less republican turnout. now with trump on the ticket turnout is higher and they are losing in redder districts (most of which are still gerrymandered)

if trump got blown out like we were expecting dems would be doing much better in both chambers

It was just some moderate R/I voting for the GOP but not for Trump. Honestly it wasn't much of that. It made a bit of a difference in a place like Georgia where black folk came out and that little bit of cac moderate assisted but in other places it was simply cacs just showin they ass again..

Trump got killed in most Dem heavy areas.

White women actually voted in higher numbers for Trump THIS time than even against Hilary. That says it all. They knew black folk and some liberals were gonna flood the polls so they wanted to offset the legitimate anger towards Trump with their vote for white supremacy and anti-blacklivesmatter.

Cubans were a part of that too. :mjpls:
