So basically they wanted Trump gone but was happy to vote R down ballots. Does that make 2018 blue wave a mirage? I'm starting to think so. They couldn't protest Trump so best was house races.

I'm not there conclusively but me thinks its possible the impeachment trial actually hurt Dems in competitive races.

So are any of these margins enough to trigger automatic recounts?

For some reason I feel like we’re just getting started here since Trump isn’t going to concede.
So far GA is the only that looks close enough for a recount to be effective. If the other states call for Biden it will make it pointless though.

Interesting how this is mentioned. In my classes that i teach, I actually use the fact that trump speaks at a four grade level is rudimentary to a lot of us but it echoes your point, he's not using elitist or as I would like to say, intelligent or clever wording or phrases. Basic words and slogans are easy for people to grasp onto, especially when your level of understanding is low.

It will depend on states and type of race. I know in NC the auto trigger is less than half a percent
