Lessons to learn:

stop expecting/demanding 100% of the Black vote

coalitions are shifting - assuming these numbers hold, Black voters will feel even more comfortable voting GOP and once the smoke clears, post trump I think you will see GOP actually seeking these votes in an organic way - not just two weeks before the election.

Now I’m gonna say something many ppl cannot /will refuse to accept but is actually true. Many many white ppl vote with race in mind, but not with the same intent as KKK/violent white supremacists. And Democrats/liberals need to realize and accept this. These are ppl that probably voted for Obama. They have black friends/colleagues etc. These are ppl whose votes you can get with an explicitly economic conversation.

Dems at some point, maybe Kamala is the one?, will need to make that shift. Stop listening to these dumb ass media consultants (even the black ones) who are so removed from ordinary peoples lives that they’re not even really offering any perspective.

when I see van jones, Arne Duncan and some of these other ppl on tv crying and shyt bc they can’t believe the country voted like this - I just cringe. It’s so weak. It’s pathetic. And it’s one reason that I think a lot of Black ppl didn’t vote Dem. PPl are tired of being infantalized. No one is asking for pity anymore. Yes this country is racist, now what?

I mean white men backed away from Trump in a way that no one expected. Credit where credit is due. A lot of them where for Obama, then went to Trump in 2016, and now have gone back to Biden.

White women get no pass because Trump did even better with white women in 2020 than he did 4 years ago.

But Dems need every vote and every alliance they can get. They lost a lot of votes they were expecting to get. I'm happy with the decrease in white men voting for Trump.

These are the professional high income whites who realize trumps inherent instability/unpredictability is not good for business. Many of them probably voted GOP in Senatorial/House races.

Some of these ppl were also turned off to the protests etc. Dems fukkd that up so badly. Mostly bc they listened to the fukking elite media/ivory tower activists and not the people. I love in Chicago and everyone I know that grew up in or still lives in the hood obviously supported BLM but said straight up that they would’ve shut down any of the looting/rioting etc.

yea, i don't trust gen z, their dependence on technology for social interaction over human interaction is going to be some whole other weird shyt for the country. i've heard they're more individualistic, and this makes sense between lack of in-person socializing and being part of smaller families. we'll see, but i can see that generation being more libertarian or laissez faire than either dem or republican

excellent point and I agree. They are the fukking worst lol

While I didn't like some of the stuff he did, and bringing Palin to National Media, I thought he was a likeable person that wasn't afraid to speak his word.
he was an old school Republican...the last of them (maybe Romney).

The party threw Palin on him...he probably hated every minute of it.

I'm happy that Biden is at 71 million votes but :scust: that Trump has almost 68 million, that almost matches Obama 08 numbers

Again - like 16 - millions more votes are to be counted including from some of the bluest areas of the country. Trump will lose by an even bigger PV margin than he did then. :lawd:

On paper this shyt looks really bad except them abandoning Trump. If Joe is elected I can see him being a "lame duck" for 2 years b/c Senate Republicans will block everything he does.

The only reason I'm not too worried is cause Biden is respected. He's one of "them". He's been in the game for decades. I think he'll be able to reason with these Republicans and get things passed. And he's also willing to crack some heads when need be. He's not gonna get pushed around. Obviously it woulda been better with a democratic senate, but I still think Biden will be able to get some things done. Even the republican side is happy to see trump gone.

If I'm not mistaken, McConnell and Biden go way back. I'm pretty sure McCaC even respects Biden. Didn't he pass a law names after his son? Or am i thinkin about someone else? :patrice:

Also, McConny already came out saying that we need another stimulus out to the people. Says the virus is getting worse. Says funding needs to get done. I was like :gucci: when I heard him say it.
