America is good at marketing itself as the shining city of the hill, exceptional and other sentimental bullshyt. This country is a fukking joke and the division is too deep. The fact its this close means this country is done. Millions of people voted for Trump are the same ones who have been brainwashed by right wing radio and Fox News for 35 years in what is seeded as war propaganda. This is not a good sign for the long run of this country. This type of division, hate and partisanship is not healthy especially in the midst of a fukkING pandemic and economic crisis. I said it four years ago Trump will accelerate America's decline and its happening. Trumpism isn't going way even when he loses. At this point this country irredeemable. As the saying goes "the North won the civil war the south won reconstruction."

AOC as VP to shore up Latinos/Women/Progressives/Youth. Have to have a Latino on the ticket after this disaster. Probably need a moderate white guy as POTUS though. Maybe Sherrod Brown.

I dont respect the latino voter at all..

They would even vote for a white person before a latino

If Joe is declared winner and Trump does his court bullshyt and other stunts, I hope he keeps it going as long as he can.

Because the more he does, the more he further damages the brand. That's why high-level Rs on Capitol Hill and in the states are going :blessed:

Keep busy Rudy, you stunade :pachaha:

:lolbron:
As an Indonesian poster I would say this US election fukkery is making me feel deja vu.
In our 2019 election we had:
  • Trump-like candidate running as opposition
  • He accused his opponent as "Owned by China and oligarchs"
  • His supporters preemptively claimed there will be systematic cheating in the election process
  • He declared victory before all the votes are counted based on "internal polling"
  • He claimed that the result are suspicious because it took a month to be oficially counted (we still use paper ballot and manual counting), and how they kept finding his opponent's ballots
  • His supporters marched to Election Comission's headquarter and threatening election workers that God will punish them for "participating in conspiracy to steal the election" if they don't stop counting the votes and admit the election is rigged
  • His supporters rioted when Election Comission declared that he lost
  • He went to the Supreme Court to have the election result overturned based on news clips from opposition's news sites (that's like Trump claiming the US election is rigged because an OANN or Epoch Times article said so)
  • Fortunately it had "happy ending" when our incumbent president offered him position as Defence Minister and his party switch from opposition to ruling coalition
At least Trump didn't prostrate himself to celebrate like our candidate did when he declared his victory.

New York would be the same way without NYC
Absolutely

Long Island is a good representative of what NY would be without NYC proper.

Lots of low information, working class whites who don't want to be considered racist but are definitely racist and would like a higher quality of life but are not willing to pay higher taxes for it, especially if non-whites, who they view as "an other" with self inflicted problems, will benefit from it as well

So what’s the play here?

-Biden wins and he gets everything blocked for the first two years (pretty sure McConnell will tell Biden the same thing he told Obama: Don’t expect anything from us)

-Midterm elections:

-Kamala prepares to run as the incumbent against Trump again?
Kamala gets beat like a redheaded step child

Pretty much. All we can hope for is rejoining the Paris Accords, repairing foreign relations a bit, and maybe a competent COVID plan.

Healthcare is in the bushes :francis: and good luck getting a decent stimulus
Worry about that later
