Nah, those countries aren’t Hispanic I disagree. Latin perhaps, but not Hispanic. Like Brazil a Latin American country but it’s not Hispanic. Also, I think Spain should be considered Latin too. Hispanic just mean your speak Spanish.
i think when they say “latino” in spanish it specifically means latin america

i had a classmate from spain who said they consider themselves hispanic but not latino

Okay let me clarify. Im not saying that you're wrong.

I'm saying its those things you mentioned and then it's racism looming in the background like a huge invisible spectre.

You gotta remember, white folks game is to pretend that racism doesn't exist. They want us to believe its all in our heads. So they're never going to outright address racism in those right wing chats that you monitor.

Nah, that's the thing they talk to each other about face to face where we won't ever hear it.

how do you address something thats intangible?

We have basic laws...at this point (IMO) it just seems like we want white people to like us.

I personally dont care about that...and a lot of people (minorities) who vote right dont either ...
...they just want the government out of their way.

idk about including French speaking Africans and creole populations that were descendants of slavery in that

:patrice:
haiti being listed makes no sense.
i wouldn't put them in the Hispanic bucket, that's weird. but the "latino" thing comes from being lat am countries with language derived from latin, which french speaking (and creole derived from french) Lat Am countries qualify...that's not how we may refer to those countries colloquially, but technically, yes.

Latin America generally refers to territories in the Americas where the Spanish, Portuguese or French languages prevail, including: Mexico, most of Central and South America, and in the Caribbean, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Puerto Rico. Latin America is, therefore, defined as all those parts of the Americas that were once part of the Spanish, Portuguese and French Empires.
