I did some phone banking for Elizabeth Warren during the primaries. Got a few convos but a lot of wrong #s and people hanging up.

At the time, it felt disheartening but currently, I realize that ~90% voters have made their minds up already and/or have already voted and so indifference/annoyance is par for the course. The expectation shouldn't be that our calls will turn Trump supporters Democratic, but that for that 5-10% of the time when we hit someone who is undecided and willing to engage, we can nudge them in the right direction, which we know can win an election on the margins.

Maddow has been talking about doing things that make a difference politically instead of just passively participating after voting and this is an example.
Color of Change PAC is who I've been working with. Targeting Florida and Texas.

Vote Save America is another that has done good research.

Are these hospital systems owned by private equity groups?

There’s a lady my mom works with who’s a doctor and her pay was cut 40%. Learned that a private equity firm owns the company she works for.
This sounds so fuken dodgy. I would expect hospital profits to be booming atm without looking too deeply into it.
