If there's a single thing I can credit trump for it's giving me motativation to keep up with politics and starting to understand how all this shyt works.I'm saying it now too
I'm not counting chickens, mapping out strategies, or even talking about staying down with a specific party. I'm just saying let's stay informed and aware.
These threads are popping and brehs are exchanging information every day. No reason we can't keep up this mindset and these actions moving forward no matter the outcome of any of these races. The more informed we are and the more we have these conversations, the better. I can't speak for the rest of the world but there's no reason Higher Learning brehs can't keep each other updated. Even focusing on the present job means digesting new information because 2020 throws a new curveball every day.
More younger brehs/entertainers etc need to be educating the population on this.

Same here. Before I would vote president and mostly go down the ballot picking other things with fresh eyes. This year I got my ballot in the mail and put way more time into painstaking research on every detail on the ballot.
Doing that showed me just how much I was leaving on the table in terms of informing myself. Makes me think about how people put serious life energy and bread into their campaigns just for me to start randomly picking shyt when I get to the polls
Cali always has a gang of measures and propositions that affect us almost immediately. I always vote, but this year it really hit home so I’ve been way more on top of informing myself.
I can’t get with breh earlier talking about we said the same thing during the Bush years, or we should wait. If me and you have the same experience of getting more diligent and a dozen other brehs feel the same, there’s no reason it shouldn’t be cool to stay informed. There’s no reason we can’t upgrade our conversation and become better men by staying more on top of the issues and sharpening each other up.
This thread alone is way ahead of the curve in terms of how educated the average voter is. We can’t underestimate the value of this site in a world that thrives on misinformation right now.
Crazy because one of our reps down here in Orlando Stephanie Murphy is Vietnamese and she’s a democrat. I have seen one Vietnamese for trump sign at a business in the Asian section in Orlando.Nguyen is the #1 last name - that's a Vietnamese last name.
Unfortunately, many Vietnamese people (in particular, the older ones) are on Team MAGA. They think that Democrats are "communists/socialists" (the older ones escaped from Vietnam after the war ended) and they HATE China with a passion because historically China occupied Vietnam during 4 separate times. Vietnamese media has been praising Trump for being "tough on China" and that Biden would "suck up to China like Obama did"
The Vietnamese are the Cubans of Asians. Sad to see, Trump would have denied them refugee status if he was President during the '70s and '80s
His reinvention since he fell back in the primaries has been masterful. Cabinet position and a 2024 run is in his future.
