There is nothing wrong with me reiterating my position on how the election will play out and if someone previously said "polls will tighten" okay good for them I have been noting that they will the entire time..
It is not YOUR position. :russ:

It's been repeated by many because people follow presidential polling history and know this is the trend. You aren't dropping anything insightful by repeating something a lot fo posters have known and said and repeating it as your original thought. You aren't that smart, bredrin. :heh:

Early voting numbers have been crazy across the country. They were up for midterms and the test was whether or not that enthusiasm would continue with 2020. It clearly has and has probably eclipsed it already and if it hasn't it's pretty damn close just a few days in.

2020 is not 2016 and there are a number of reasons for this but......

I was looking at the 2016 electoral college map. And it's downright shameful how unpopular Hillary was with people. There is no reason she should have lost by that wide of a margin but like I said different times and she was not popular across the board. And I can tell you for a fact we didn't have folks lining up like we've seen the past few days to early vote. Anybody who says otherwise is bald faced lying.

There are records being smashed out here in numerous states and it's gonna be even crazier on election day itself because you can talk until you are blue in the fact but some folks just don't care for early voting.

Trump is now the unpopular candidate. No he isn't unpopular with this voting base. The Silent Majority is still out there and they were definitely a force in 2016 but they didn't carry that shyt by themselves and they are in a position now to most definitely shoulder way more than they had to before. Way more.

Let me tell you something. Sometimes it's what you don't focus on that tell a tale.

The Senate would have gladly focused on stimulus alone and not given so much energy to that Supreme Court nomination if they felt a Presidential Victory was around the corner. I'm not saying he'll definitely lose nobody knows that although frankly even the polls are more lopsided than they were from 2016. Even someone who pays zero attention to polls has to double take these numbers coming in but it's still not easy street and we need a good 2 or 3 of those swing states to go blue. I think we can get 2 for sure. They make the difference!

The Senate instead chose to focus on that nomination. They treated it like life and death and now that it's looking good they are smelling their piss so to speak. Do you guys know Trump put forward a stimulus package and McConnel rejected it saying it was too much money to be spent? It probably got discussed on here.

If ol' Turtle Face is saying no to Trump they are worried he isn't gonna hold his spot longer. They could be wrong! But the behavior you're seeing from folks on the Hill is painting a grim picture for the incumbent.

I'm ready for Barr to curse him out and stop being his Ho Of The Year myself.

Y'all need to be finishing and CARRYING your mail ballots to those authorized drop boxes TODAY. They're as expected targeting all the places that threaten their power.

:martin:

I'll be disappointed if nobody gets prosecuted for this USPS shyt (which they probably won't).

Testifying before Congress isn't enough, there need to be actual consequences for blatant corruption on that level. Shyt is crazy.

How come we have never hear Nancy or Chuck talk about these black agenda plans? Instead of wearing kinte cloths and kneeling, that was the perfect time for them to roll out a muscular black agenda and commit to passing it and publicizing the plans.

to be honest, i don't think they want to potentially alienate any potential swing voters. if they came out with a big bill only for black folks that could cause some people who are fed up with chump, but weary of dems to not vote at all or vote chump. not saying it's right, but i think they're focused on getting the wh and possibly senate back first. if we help them do that they need to come up off those dividends.

They are scrambling to explain why they haven't passed a black agenda plan in decades by trying to assassinate his character. Have we ever seen this kind of sustained attacks on an entertainer for trying to push a policy agenda? Nope

dems can't assassinate his character. they don't have the pull to do it. cube is an icon for going against the grain and speaking up for oppressed black folks. that said, he did himself no favors by allowing his name and likeness to be even remotely connected to maga. his business partners may be shady and linked up with maga sympathizers too. i doubt they're looking at this from the perspective of pushing the conversation forward forward for black folks, but instead looking at how they can muddy the waters in favor of the current admin. cube didn't endorse, but he doesn't need to. they're already circling the wagons around him like he's in their click. he pushing back but what's done is done.

i just hope he can eject any shady peoples in his camp and rejuvenate an independent approach to getting the agenda more momentum. right now i feel like he's being weaponized against dems for the benefit of maga.

Cube doesn't have the political experience or intellectual capacity to deal with the situation we're in right now. We're in a hyper-polarized environment and trying to deal in good faith with the Trump campaign is extremely foolish.

Kamala Harris, Mass Incarceration and Me

NY Times Magazine piece from a felon about Kamala Haris

When Harris decided to run for president, I thought the country might take the opportunity to grapple with the injustice of mass incarceration in a way that didn’t lose sight of what violence, and the sorrow it creates, does to families and communities. Instead, many progressives tried to turn the basic fact of Harris’s profession into an indictment against her. Shorthand for her career became: “She’s a cop,” meaning, her allegiance was with a system that conspires, through prison and policing, to harm Black people in America.
