I agree with your premise.
It is becoming clearer to me that this was going to be a very sensitive election that required a specific type of candidate to overcome the sheer amount of white people that are still on code with Trump after four years. Biden is safe, Biden is known,
Biden has the temperament for the moment. It's why Biden has stayed relatively clean despite a year of mudslinging from the other side. Running an unabashed brazen Socialist in this environment where the streets are literally on fire would have been an unmitigated disaster. I hope Bernie's followers can be objective and acknowledge this. Ask yourself if Bernie was the nominee what would the numbers with suburban women and Independents look like right now? What would the numbers with seniors and Latinos look like in Florida? The "home turf" advantage in Pennsylvania that Biden is currently a benefactor of wouldn't exist. There would be no Lincoln Project. The corporate media would undoubtedly in Trump's pocket. Firebrand campaign speeches from AOC and Ilhan Omar would be aired live on Fox News every day. Think about that for a second.
We should get on our knees and kiss the feet of those older black voters in South Carolina. Their wisdom and prudence literally saved the country.
