Pretty clear to me that there is no way Trump wins this legitimately.

It remains to be asked then, what happens when he tries to steal it?

Some states start counting before election day, others do it on election day. Florida I think does it 22 days before election day, so if Biden wins that, then this won't happen. There are other states in play, but Biden having a strong performance takes this out of play because Trump would have no leverage.

What happens when Trump tries to steal the election?

He's already trying and has shown what his strategy is. He's expecting a razor thin election, where he leads on election day and can appeal to the courts to prevent a massive amount of absentee ballots from being counted. The problem is that there's no indication this is going to be as close as he thinks. If Biden is truly up 5+ points in MI, WI, and PA the election is over. Trump may have a small lead on election day counting, but just a couple days of absentee ballot counting is going to finish him off. In order to trigger an election recount, it has to be close. It's not looking like it right now.

The thing that will doom Trump (if he loses) is that he thinks it's 2016. It's possible Biden could fukk around and get 70 million votes when all is said and done. He could win the popular vote by close to 10mil. There isn't enough legal wrangling to stop that train.
