Remember Jane from Breaking Bad? Remember Walt sat there and watched her choke to death knowing he could have saved her? Elizabeth Warren Walter Whited Bernie's ass. She watched his campaign die and said nothing. Bad part is ideologically they're cut from a simular cloth. Kamala Harris and Biden had been and it got squashed and she fell in line. Bernie couldn't even get the endorsement of another progressive in the race. She would rather watch his campaign die than back him.

How sad is that? We can talk all the shyt about Joe Biden we want but he pulled strings, called in favors, and ultimately ended Bernie's campaign chances and that deserves some respect.

I've changed my mind. Come November I just may vote for him. He was clearly the best effective leader of the pack which is why he's still standing when he was left for dead after Nevada.
Obama made the call. not Joe. The donors told them all to back down.

Was it biden that pulled the strings or was it the billionaires that Bernie was consistent in attacking

Fair enough but what happens when a president Bernie Sanders runs into that same brick wall?

Like it or not he just ain't that guy. He did a lot. He furthered some causes but it's time for the progressive movement to move on from him. He isn't the answer if he can't even get past this. The progressive movement needs someone that can unite the party and whether it's his fault or the extremist supporters he couldn't keep in line it turns out he isn't that person.

Nina Turner.

She would've crushed it with the black vote.

The issue becomes when progressive politics demand things that conflict with the will of the donor class.

Multiple politicians will revolt and resist them. Money is in politics and until its out the establishment has the advantage of their politics getting represented by media and political action more than voters. Our money can't compete with theirs.

Yes voters and donors can agree trump is corrupt and lacks decorum but what if wanting a planet for your grandkids interferes with their donors profit margin? What if poor americans needing medicine they cant afford hurts their donors pockets? Who will they choose?

They have chosen their donors time and time again. That is their resistance to Bernie, not an inability to govern, nor his attitude, nor his ability to build coalitions nor whatever media concocted bullshyt they attribute it to. He has the most individual donors than any campaign in history and won the most diverse amount of demographics in the race. He did it with the media against him off 100% volunteer work. Its about money

This is THE reason I fukk with progressives. I dont think our political system will be effective until we get money out of politics:yeshrug:

Bernie needs to groom the next progressive candidate. I do believe this country will head to democratic socialism sooner or later , especially once those white people from fly over states wake up from the republican hypnosis whenever that happens.

Exactly.

Remember the whole weed debate? Where less than 20 years ago, a lot of people were getting locked up for YEARS over weed. Doing Fed time and all. Now, even Republican politicians are more like :hubie: over weed and believe it should be decriminalized.

Thats how I see the progressive debate. Less than 20 years from now, it will be common sense to install a Medicare 4 All, free public tuition, and legalize weed policy in America. The point is, never give up,the fight for those.

AOC seems like the logical successor. Warren supports (by proxy Hillary 2016 supporters) will be wanting to make her pay for supporting Bernie. AOC supporting Bernie killed Warren’s campaign dead. Having a term as a senator would create a firewall between this 2020 primary and her eventual presidential campaign. If she can’t beat Gillibrand and take her seat, she can’t ever run for president anyway so

I think Schumer would be a better candidate to run aganist.

Honestly though, I don't think AOC can win a statewide race. New York is heavy on machine politics. Look at how Cuomo keeps crushing his left-wing challengers.

If the Biden campaign is smart, as he pivots to the general election. He should adopt one of Bernies or Warrens policy proposals to reconcile with the progressives.

Student Loan Debt Forgiveness or Their Climate Change Proposals.

Wouldn't hurt to pick up Buttigieg or Bloomberg black agenda plan for black america or even actively support real reparations since he owes black america for reviving his campaign.

It should be all hands on deck for this one cause I want an electoral massacre of Trump and Trumpism in November 2020

She’d have to be prepared to take on both the DNC & RNC if she’s primarying the possible senate majority leader. She has a significant advantage in name recognition over Gillibrand, by 2024, AOC won’t be new to Washington anymore and I think she’d be more prepared.

The presidency isn't a position that can go it alone. If we're also being honest congress has to be remade before a progressive president would be able to accomplish anything. A president that has the support of maybe 1/3 of congress can't get anything passed. The government would grind to a halt.

It's a great dream but in reality a Sanders presidency wouldn't be able to get past the roadblocks the donors and rich elite set up for him.
