He had a very mild heart attack and stents to remove the blockage. Otherwise, he's a healthy 78 year old guy. I have an uncle like 3 years younger who had massive heart surgery and is out here taking regular walks so I'm not too concerned with Bernie's health. But his age is one of those weaknesses.

People forget how frustrated the left was with Obama. It's a big reason why Occupy happened. In the same backdrop the banks got their bailout and foreclosure wave was still happening.

The budget stuff infuriated many people on the left but we only kept hearing about the crazy GOP House of Representatives who themselves even weren't going to agree to cut Social Security.

The Republicans have it so easy. They simply choose someone as a group and vote. We have to have one million agendas going at a time when the opposition doesn't have such hangups. It makes winning(the only thing that really matters not a long thread of rambling justifications) so hard to attain because everybody is in a million different directions. And there is a huge push on this forum to keep it going. I wonder why?

both of your are correct.

the difference between Dems and Repubs is that once repubs find their candidate, they will rally around that one person with an insane approval rating even if said person doesnt deserve it. they are all about Team red. they dont care about policy at that point. its team red or bust. Dems on the other hand have different factions. There are a few:
Progressive Socially, Conservative(basically selfish) Economically. These are the corporate/centrist dems.

Another side is, Progressive Economically, Some what progressive Socially: Bernie people

and the super duper leftees: Extremely Progressive Economically and Socially (they will vote for a bernie but they want even more socialism like full blown socialism, in addition to making any and every social thing that is unacceptable acceptable and protected by the government.

Dems will not rally around someone that is way off of their policies and ideas. they just wont do it. thats because the dems i first stated are basically republican lites. Why would a true to life progressive dem vote for a republican? he/she wouldnt. this is why we can't get along and why we wont go along to get along like the Corporate/Centrist dems would love us to do. it will never happen no matter how bad the other guy is. I used this analogy during Hilary's run.
