And suggesting Bernie, the first Dem in 140 years to defeat a Republican in a Vermont race for Senate, was less qualified than you... shame
And he beat an incumbent Republican in 1990. Which was historic. And it was less than 30 years ago.

They really messed around and got the debate thread locked after I went to bed huh? :russ:

I had Bernie as 2a to Steyer's 2b. Gave Warren the dub on substantive answers that were full of quality without having to play so much defense. Bernie did amazingly well considering every question he got was framed as an attack and the moderators cued follow-ups for his competitors to attack him. Ironically, most didn't take the bait and Bernie's responses were so damned strong that I think he killed it. After sleeping on it though and thanks to handshake-gate; I think Steyer might have the dub on the night. Warren's handshake snub distracted a lot of people from a lot of great answers that both Bernie and Warren gave throughout the night and pushed everyone back into beefing, another damned own goal for the progressives on a night where our three voices on stage BODIED the field. :snoop:

Here's one thing that stood out though...Bernie got HELLA co-signs from everybody. Steyer built on Bernie's answers two or three times throughout the night. Warren's platform and Bernie's are close enough that as they spell out policy, their ideas just compliment each other constantly and she's still vocally pushing Single Payer as an end goal (Klobuchar actually hit her for using the rhetoric but having a policy plan that gives up the fight and that was the one time something actually hit her imo). Klobuchar brought up reducing drug prices via work she did with Bernie. Pete...:pacspit:. Biden and Bernie mainly drew differences but they had the most audible laugh line of the night when Biden spoke on a North Korea's leadership saying some hateful things. Bernie hit the "other than that, you like 'em though."

So I think the biggest thing to stand out for me was how often Bernie was able to connect with the other people on stage either through ideas, goals or humor. As a dude with a ton of momentum, I don't imagine last night halting that. Looking at the donor numbers, I think he may have even picked up some steam but the media reaction definitely seemed to try and quell that. We're gonna have to see.

Lastly, Bernie gave Barbara Lee her props again and I really think she should be the VP choice and I'd love to see that at least being whispered about before Super Tuesday. She's a Cali repper born in Texas. She connects with a lot of our goals and beliefs, plus there's no better contrast to Trump and his warmongering cronies than the sole person who voted against Afghanistan.

Warren shaking Biden hand and pating him on the shoulder before beefing wit "sexist" Bernie tells you everything you need to know about her and this play:russ:
She’s probably calculating that Biden will be the nominee.

Which makes me think there’s no way that Bernie can win a brokered convention. None. Bernie has to win the most delegates in June and he needs to get 50% plus one. Period.

And looking at the map, I don’t see how it’s possible cause of the South :francis: and the proportional delegate allocation!

Trump was able to win the GOP primary cause they have winner take all the delegates. Which is why he won the primary with 44% or something like that.

All I have to say is prepare for trump 2020 if Biden is the nominee. Trump will talk circles around sleepy Joe. I still think Bernie can win but it will take young people voting in record numbers

I’m preparing to be disappointed.

It’s clear Trump is a shoe-in when Biden wins the nomination

These polls will stay the same but the red hat turnout is gonna be high as fukk and Dems won’t have the energy

Let’s wait to see what happens if Bernie wins Iowa and other early primary states, it could shift things substantially. It was never going to be an easy win.

It's a known fact that Biden is an awful campaigner but bigger issue is that he's completely washed :snoop:

I'm worried how he'll hold up when his schedule and travel gets even more loaded.
