Bernie supporters...how do you think Bernie will do with midwestern Professional Class voters? These folks tend to have different values and habits in comparison to their coastal brethren.

Professional class voters in general try to protect their way of life. I think that Bernie sells them on making life more affordable overall. Pre-K, college, healthcare, etc. His problem is that he is so into the class warfare language he often fails to just illustrate this. Warren does it better than he does.

:salute:

I think it might be more prudent to spread the wealth around to other lesser known progressive candidates, but salute regardless. I'm slighty under $100 total donated to Bernie so far but I'm obviously gonna keep chipping in to the end.
i donate smaller amounts to omar, aoc, and talib. i didnt start out this high with bernie, but its crunch time and hes in position so i felt compelled.

@mastermind @tru_m.a.c

Remember how Ben Jealous significantly outperformed the limited polling in the 2018 MD Gov primary? :patrice:

wait what?
This great @ryangrim piece highlights the most interesting thing about the 2020 primary. Sanders is the only candidate who's electability case can be proven or disproven by the primary. Either his new way brings in new voters or it doesn't

wrong. In order to vote in the primaries you have to be a registered DEM in a lot of states (california being one of them).

Bernie can bring out people who may vote dem or stay at home at times therefore are not card carrying dems. these dems/indies can't vote for him in the primary.

and that other point is also wrong. people just are too silly or agenda driven to do the simple math.

Old head dems who poll well for biden will vote dem regardless of who the nominee is. thats a fact. Elizabeth warren fans will vote dem regardless. most of the highly educated and well paid yang fans will vote dem regardless. the kamala fans will vote dem regardless.

So this means what? it means Sanders is guaranteed to get the blue states in a general election. thats a FACT and i dare anyone to dispute this fact.

So now lets move on to the purple states. the question is this, do you as a dem want to consider possibly losing just like hillary did via the electoral college votes in the swing states. which is what you're flirting with if you choose biden as the nominee. you will not get my vote or many other bernie supporter votes. we'll be back at the house again. and if that happens AGAIN and biden cant get any NEW voters to come out. THen he will lose just like hillary did. win the popular vote and lose the elec college vote.

So again, if bernie already has all the blue states in the bag, ask yourself do you think bernie or biden can bring out new voters to vote in those purple states? We know the answer to this. its bernie.

Bernie is your only SURE thing victor. anyone else is a toss up including Joe. and you can't poll your way to knowing this for sure. because the people they poll with the purple states in mind are people who are registered voters who voted the last election. these are not stay homes, these are not young people who could care less about voting in 2016 or wasnt old enough. those people are not being polled.

keep it simple. ask the right question. how do you think bernie will do with people in the purple states on stayed at home and young new voters who never voted before?

I think well enough to beat trump in those states, which will guarantee him a victory because he will easy win the blue states, thats a foregone conclusion.

which is why its funny how all the news outlets want to talk about is the primary and polls, when the truth is can any of these candidates get non voters to vote, new voters to vote, and stay at homes from 2016 to come out to vote in the purple states. thats is the ONLY question. the answer for bernie is YES.
The answer for joe is maybe not.

The answer for liz is maybe/maybe not

the answer for Pete is hell no.
