Barack dont do it... it will expose your incrementalism azz to the young black generation
And dont let Bernie bring up you gentrifying Chicago for your public library
Publicly, he has been clear that he won’t intervene in the primary for or against a candidate, unless he believed there was some egregious attack. “I can't even imagine with this field how bad it would have to be for him to say something,” said a close adviser. Instead, he sees his role as providing guardrails to keep the process from getting too ugly and to unite the party when the nominee is clear.
With one candidate, he pointed out that during his own 2008 campaign, he had an intimate bond with the electorate, especially in Iowa, that he no longer has. Then he added, “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.”
Or is it? I wonder who are the people Obama is namelessly talking about here?

"Asked about that, a spokesperson for Obama pointed out that Obama recently said he would support and campaign for whoever the Democratic nominee is."

Obama takes veiled shot at Warren and Sanders, warns 2020 Dems Americans don’t want to ‘tear down the system’
All that's left is for him to name which candidates and Twitter feeds he's talking about and it is on like popcorn.Fam, I was about to say, he's made some comments that already came across as shots. The "Circular firing squad" speech one came to mind. He straight identified progressives in that one.

Obama takes veiled shot at Warren and Sanders, warns 2020 Dems Americans don’t want to ‘tear down the system’
“The average American doesn't think we have to completely tear down the system and remake it. And I think it's important for us not to lose sight of that,” Obama said.
There are a lot of persuadable voters and there are a lot of Democrats out there who just want to see things make sense. They just don't want to see crazy stuff," he said. "They want to see things a little more fair, they want to see things a little more just. And how we approach that I think will be important.”
“Even as we push the envelope and we are bold in our vision, we also have to be rooted in reality and the fact that voters, including the Democratic voters and certainly persuadable independents or even moderate Republicans, are not driven by the same views that are reflected on certain, you know, left-leaning Twitter feeds,” Obama said.
How did the bold, "Yes we can!" Turn into, "Ugh we probably can't?!" It's sad to see. I loved Obama but they let us down courting moderate Republicans in 2016.
Americans don't want to tear down the system. They want the system to work for them.Fam, I was about to say, he's made some comments that already came across as shots. The "Circular firing squad" speech one came to mind. He straight identified progressives in that one.
You just posted a quote from someone who said he wouldn't intervene unless there was an egrarious attack. And I just posted him intervening albeit namelessly against someone. Who is Obama talking about? You are a professional goal post mover.
Despite your weak critique (which you borrowed from that chomsky thread) , Obama still remains an extremely popular president.
Meanwhile the president is a non-politician talk show host. That's nothing radical or different tho. That's just people wanting the system to work for them.Americans don't want to tear down the system. They want the system to work for them.
If the litmus test is revolution none of you all are taking to the streets in mass nor are you putting your lives on the line for civil war.
It's not Obama's fault Bernie couldn't win the nomination over a Hillary just as he did in 08.Meanwhile the president is a non-politician talk show host. That's nothing radical or different tho. That's just people wanting the system to work for them.
Obama hasn't endorsed a candidate. You just posted a quote from someone who said he wouldn't intervene unless there was an egrarious attack. And I just posted him intervening albeit namelessly against someone. Who is Obama talking about?
No one questioned his popularity, in fact I said I loved the guy. So that's irrelevant.

Just pointing out he's kinda out of touch with reality. How do people not want radical change but at the same time elect a game show host who habitually doesn't follow political norms? Doesn't really add up does it?It's not Obama's fault Bernie couldn't win the nomination over a Hillary just as he did in 08.
Obama hasn't endorsed a candidate.
Your argument hinges on the false assumption that Obama views increasing taxes on the wealthy and providing Healthcare for everyone as tearing down the system.
Posting fox news spin just shows your desperate.
Based on polling this statement is absolutely correct.
Edit: imagine thinking that's not a shot at the GOP
Kinda like they did with Trump. How many times did Obama say something slick about Hillary or 'she' being the next president in 2016? Oops. lolObama and his team don't take Bernie seriously. Which is why if Bernie looks like he's going to win the nomination, then it'll be all hands on deck to stop him. But they aren't planning it as they are sure that Bernie won't get close to sniffing the nomination.
It's a big gamble by them because I can easily see them being caught blind sided.
Americans don't want to tear down the system. They want the system to work for them.

Instead, he sees his role as providing guardrails to keep the process from getting too ugly and to unite the party when the nominee is clear. There is one potential exception: Back when Sanders seemed like more of a threat than he does now, Obama said privately that if Bernie were running away with the nomination, Obama would speak up to stop him. (Asked about that, a spokesperson for Obama pointed out that Obama recently said he would support and campaign for whoever the Democratic nominee is.)
