In all seriousness, he needs to consult with Kyle before a debate. Go to 4:50-9:00 in the video to see how Bernie can differentiate with the military budget stuff. The "I'm not a capitalist and she is" stuff isn't gonna hit. It hits in our lefty circles but it's not gonna move him in the general public. The military budget point Kyle makes is so clear and will make an impact.

We'll wait to see how this debate goes, it's gonna suck with 12 people and I'm not expecting much. Bern just needs to make the point that he was fortunate with his health care while others are not and show he's fit during the debate.

Also I'm not completely agreeing with Zaid Jilani and other ppl saying Bernie is bad at hiring people this time around. His Latino team is killing it in Nevada and California. Whoever helped write his criminal justice, climate and labor plans clearly knows what they are doing as well. Zaid seems to like Bernie but has some sort of axe to grind. I think Sirota and Brie getting hired broke ppl's brains

“Bernie himself may or may not have been a good financial manager,” Steven Soifer told me. Now the chairman of the Department of Social Work at the University of Mississippi, he is the author of a 1991 book on Sanders’ time as mayor. “However,” Soifer said, “Bernie always had the skill of surrounding himself with very competent, sometimes brilliant people.”

I said this in the other thread, I don't buy Bernie's comment as an attack. He literally complimented her the whole way through and only drew distinction with her own words, that's caution not to offend. Kyle's right that Bernie could go in and push the differences but it hasn't been in his nature, so I don't expect that to change.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. There won't be time to say much anyway, he just has to show that he's healthy and good to go. The numbers took a dip after the heart attack but not enough that he can't bounce right back.

I think Bernie's approach is just too out there for traditional thinking. He's doing things differently and targeting demographics that pollsters don't typically view as reliable voters. Everything he's doing is outside the box. I believe that even bleeds into his criminal justice, climate and labor plans; it's the addition of activists' input having a bigger role that makes those plans so bold and focused. I wish more people were exposed to earnest breakdowns of those plans.

Bernie plans are like pissing into the wind

They said that about Sanders 2016 and now Warren is running slightly to the left of it and the same people love it. I don't think it's about Bernie or plans when it comes to the Hillary fanclub :yeshrug:.

Who said anything about a bad guy? All I'm saying is it's not about plans when it comes to a significant chunk of Hillary stans turned Warren supporter. It's about an aesthetic. M4A, Forgive College Debt, Ending Corruption, Taking on Wall Street...yeah, I'm good with the results whether either one of 'em wins. I'd suspect most people would be. But there are some Hillary heads that have Bernie as the absolute bottom or some senile fool in spite of the blatant similarities in both of their plan sets. For those people, it's more about an aesthetic and a presentation than it is about the plans on paper.

shes gonna be Obama 2.0 at best

Warren has a chance to be one of the best presidents easily just off her current positions. Thing is if you're really with breaking this current system down for the better Bernie could be the paradigm shift needed in Washington. I really wish Warren ran in 2016 instead of sitting on the sidelines. She would have won and we wouldn't have to deal with all this insanity and Hillary still existing. Regardless, it's up to the voters now on which way to go there. Just as long as it's them two and not Biden.

Lmao if you really believe

1. That Hillary would allow another woman to exist in the 2016 primary

And

2. That Warren would have beaten Trump
