:comeon: i like defensive battles when its two great defenses hititng hard and shutting down good offenses

The qb's were atrocious in that game..just because a games low scoring doesnt mean the defneses are always great its sometimes inept offenses that play a role and to me thats when its not entertaining

Would you be entertained if a game had two third string qb's who cant complete a pass just because its "low scoring"?

I dont watch football to "be entertained", difference between me and you
I dont watch most sports to "be entertained"

I dont chew popcorn and stare at TV and Id smack off popcorn of anyones mouthg in the room when my Niners are playing.

I dont want to hear stories. and while I like good plays by good players, I watch the game to watch the game and competition, no matter how good or bad the players are. players skills are irrelevant to me watching the game and liking it more than another game.

inept offenses are just as part of the game as inept defenses.
but Id rather watch an inept offense game that ends 10-9 than a inept defense game that ends 49-40

and texans werent an inept offense. they had 420 total yards and averaged 5.5 yards per carry on offense.

they just couldnt score a TD and went with low-risk option of giving the ball to their best player. when you average that kind of numbers on the ground and your defense plays as well you dont need to do anything else really.

the problem is that people want to see highlight TDs and shyt.

Dalton is decent but his ceiling is just "pretty good". He had a couple of chances to put some points up.

Maualuga = Trash

Dalton = Trash

Jay Gruden = Trash

Gresham = Trash

Kyle Cook = Trash

We'll never win anything of any significance with Dalton as the QB.

right below elite status. In that Eli,Big Ben, Rivers(when he was good) range.

But Ryan has pretty good stats and unlike his peers, he's never won a playoff game? How is he any different that Andy Dalton? Pretty good QB that hasn't win a playoff game yet.

Dalton hasn't shown the level of consistency game to game that Ryan has. Whenever we have the ball late in games, at least in the regular season so far in his career, you have the feeling that he's gonna pull it out.

Dalton seems a little like Flacco in a sense that he'll have games where it looks like he's making the jump and then he'll do some shyt that's just like :why:

Well, I guess it was nice to find a Bengals v. Texans thread. They lost but at least the Bengals had a better season than last year. Progress is what it is about. A lot of haters on this board, though. Lot of haters.
