Official Beat Tourney '20 (it's over!)

Yup. Whenever I start comparing my beats I lose my creative instinct. Like, I cant use this sample cause the beat wont be good enough. Cant use these drums. Cant rock with this flip, this shyt sucks

I started on 20 beats and probably listened to well over 200 samples this week. Normally I hear something I like, pick some drums, and throw a beat together in 30 minutes. Since this is a competition I'm thinking about what everyone might want to hear instead of myself.

An hour ago I found a sample and finished a beat and I'm going to send it sloppy mix and all

I'm not even at 6 months experience making beats so I'm not gonna stress it anymore. This is just for fun.

I used one of my better beats, so Im pretty confident. Either way, I needa get my creative process back. Stop taking Ritalin and gettin all wired when I make beats

I'm actually a little that I got to wait until next round because of the format. The beats are starting to trickle in and I ALREADY see that this year is going to be a LOT tougher to win than last year
as Always I try to check out as many contestants work as possible and I see that among the newcomers there are cats with professional placements already as well as several of the already hard hitting vets are back so it's going to be hell in some of these rounds
Hell I thought I had my beats already ready for up to 3 rounds but I'm already thinking about switching up
Oh yeah and we got a dope 12 year old debuting in this bytch @franknitty711 son. He got a rough initiation though being matched up against @bigdaddy88

Yzr I really can't wait! I don't remember the last time i've been able to participate in one of these tournaments it's been like forever and I see some familiar faces and new cats so i'm excited! You don't have to wait till next week you can throw a instrumental up as a part of the opening ceremonies or something like that lol.

I'm going to step out to the gym for about an hour. I figure about 8 I'll start putting up threads for those that are ready to roll. Heads up we will only be voting for THREE DAYS in each round for now so that we can move along expeditiously. So PLEASE try to listen to every battle and place your votes. Again these are the first round matchups
