I know the feeling, finding the right drums are pivotal. What I tend to do in those situations is limit myself. depending upon what type of track it is.Less becomes more. I typically have one Soul Kit, One Trap kit, One Jazz kit, etc as a base and then if I want to create more kits I have to either physically go out and get the drums or eq and add the right processors accordingly, that may seem counter intuitive but it does save a lot of time when you know "This is what you have, so make it work." as opposed to going through 100's of kits never finding anything.Can't find the right drums for the beat

And there's actually 22 beats I started for this round
Soul has many meanings though, when people start putting "Soul" in a box they typically start going after old school R&B records, jazz if they are lucky but nope. My soul sample well it's got live musicians playing so i'm rolling with it.Not a soul sample.

Add some saturation to your snare and call it a day in that case. lol
