Stephen Amell/Oliver Queen's ride may be coming to an end when the just-premiered Arrow season 8 wraps - but his mantle will continue in a new CW spin-off show titled Green Arrow and the Canaries.

Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim made official what has been reported for some time by tweeting the first poster for the new show from artists Emanuela Lupacchino, Dave McCaig, and Brett Breeding, which now has a title and premise.

Green Arrow and the Canaries will focus on Kat McNamara's Mia Smoak taking up the Green Arrow name alongside Katie Cassidy's Laurel Lance and Juliana Harkavy's Dinah Drake. No further details of the plot have been announced.

Green Arrow and the Canaries does not have an announced premiere date.
