his Dawn of the Dead remake is one of the GOAT zombie flicks to me. I remember sneaking into the showing when underaged for R movies. I'm down for this despite not liking his recent work

never saw it but didnt the hurricane happen after the heist? this plot says they decide to do the robbery because of the outbreak.

They were planning on using the approaching hurricane as their cover since people would be evacuated and security wouldn't be as tight.
The plan was to get in and get out before the hurricane actually hit.

So I guess the plan is to spend the money outside of Vegas.

It was originally supposed to be a Dawn of the Dead sequel back in 2008 but it's now an entirely separate thing.
Snyder wasn't even on board with that one. Matthijs van Heijningen (he did the 2011 version of The Thing) was the director attached to it back then.

Snyder got attached to it when Netflix acquired it.
