i got that but it didnt quite make sense to me. Especially after he already opened the safe. The way omari character was in the movie, it didnt make sense he would be attached to some cac so quickly. Enough to sacrifice himself.

anyway just my thoughts.

To me he came off like the strong guy that doesn't like bullies, and will step up to fight for people who are weak but, prefers they to learn to fight for themselves. He told the rapey cop in the beginning to keep his distance from the girls. Then with the white boy, he saw him as a weak kid who shouldn't be there and tried to toughen him up. So he was a bit fukked up watching him die. He knew the kid basically got torn to shreds and Ghost knew it would've been him if the kid didn't throw him back behind the door.
