All the rumors for the X basically turned out to be true so I believe the rumors that Apple couldn't figure it out in time in order to keep Touch ID.

Samsung was trying to do it as well, so when Samsung gets it right, probably for the S9 or Note 9, I think Apple will follow right behind them.

Samsung won't get it right before Apple. You have that backwards.

Anyone having problems with iTunes after downloading the update? Some of my podcasts are missing, I got unsubscribed from others and none of them are downloading new episodes. Like if I go to the store for an individual podcast I can see there's a new episode and download it from them but it won't download from a refresh on my podcast page like before. Also, a few podcasts (not even new episodes) I'm subscribed to just randomly started downloading on my phone instead of my computer

Apple is seeing how much they get away with before anyone actually tries to stop buying their products.

They have Never release a phone with a larger leap in added tech from the prior generation.

their devices were already crushing more expensive samsung flagships in chipset performance. Now they have a 6 core processor
Oled, QI charging (while past due) is are massive upgrades for apple, Augmented reality is going to revolutionize alot of industries and apple is leading the pack in that area with this device
4k video at 60 FPS is pushing is a game changer as well.

this phone is Loaded with tech, some of which is app playing catch up, some of which are things that are going to push the envelope for the industry. most importantly. ios 11 will continue to be leaps and bounds above anything else. i dont see what yall have to compain about This year

Pretty obvious they had to pivot because they couldn't implement touch ID embedded into the display. Probably mad difficult considering they have an extra screen layer for force touch. Samsung is making the displays anyway so in reality it was them who could not get it right. I wanted that but if face ID is halfway decent im not going to care

Buy a 7 plus for like 600, wait for the X2

or, take that 600, get the X and just sell it before the next iteration comes out.

They made a bad decision with the cutout on the top of the screen though it's horrible

the alternative was to put a bezel over the top corners of the screen, that space is being used for time/batt indicators. the notch makes more sense than a full bezel

You're copping JOD, EIP, or full price? EIP, that's a $429.99 Down Payment plus taxes. That's under $540 total. Your $600 would cover that. 256GB X. 8+ is $200 less in DP. $316 total. $316 to $540? That's a big fukking jump, but if you got it, you got it. Follow your heart. My Jailbreak 6+ has been feeling it for a while, and I'm still on iOS 8. I'm upgrading but to what, I don't know. Touch ID might be the reason I'll pick 8+ or Note 8. That and X size is smaller than the Plus, so everything is compact now.

I was gonna cop full. pay on it for 10 months and just sell. I like coping full so i can use an already established line of credit, less hoops on pre order night, etc.

I figured if i was gonna cop a 7 plus, thats 10/11 months of Iphone x Payments, and thats about the time i was gonna sell it anyway. Plus I figured an Iphone X would could potentially get me more profit in a year than a 7 plus.
