Yeah I think that's the case. I'd imagine the freedom of living more than comfortable doing what you love and being able to truly carve your own way from that probably outweighs any dough these big companies would try to throw his way. At worst if things do get bad, he can always walk in somewhere and basically name his price.

If I was him I'd still keep it independent. Why tie yourself to only one specific company with a particular technology and not be able to criticize them when they come out with a shytty product. I'd rather get exclusive invites to go test the new model at Tesla, get invited by Apple, Samsung and not have to answer to anyone. And his is a young Black man doing his thing.

Yeah my thing is not being dependent on straigt youtube. I think is following is decent enough where he could do a full fledged media platform like TheVerge. He can have the full site with articles, youtube, and weekly podcast. Bring on a few other big name youtubes and they can make a killing BUT then again lm sure everyone likes having their own indvidual brand.

Not really, he could get some good equity in one of these major companies which would be probably close to what he makes on youtube.
I know he was in college (for what idk), but i think he is finished now.Being that he does all of this solo im sure it is a ton of work but he doesnt have to split his earnings, so doing anything more would stretch him thin. But lets be real dude got big off of a hobby so who knows if he has the business savy to pull of turning his brand into a media company.
i hate how all these phones are getting so big also the lack of a headphone jack, so i don't plan on copping any of these new releases.
but i'm still interested to see what kind of features they've incorporated in the new iphones.

He would need to put together a team of legit people. The issue the other platforms have is you can tell alot of the writers are journalism rejects (due to the nature of working at major news papers and magazines changing), so many people dont even care about the stuff they write about so you get a ton of lame click bait articles on top of random social justice stuff being thrown in.
MKB could legit make a platform and probably even partner with vice and get a weekly show on there too. Even with 5 mill suscribers i just wouldnt bank on youtube, but thats me.
