Got my first W with a gamewinning kill and finished #2 completely solo with 6 kills.

I wish theyd just put solo mode in the game, tired of getting ganked just cuz my team DCed

Pretty much. With Pathfinder you have no excuse to not finish in the top 4 because you know where you need to be.

Wraith's ability is a better version of it, but Pathfinder can be clutch too

Nearly half the roster has mobility that means nothing. His grapple has no range and his ultimate is worthless

But... His passive ability is great.

There's a learning curve to his Grappling Hook. I've seen some dope plays pulled off with it

Pathfinder is a scout, his abilities allow for verticality so you can get the drop on other people. The ultimate allows his team to get in or out the action. His grapple has a high skill ceiling. It’s just like how it was in Titanfall 2. If you learn the ins-and-out, you can get a lot of momentum, attack from odd angles, jukes, etc.

It's all only cosmetic stuff and unlocking characters.
