Brief bio, his name is Hailu Mergia, he was a part of one of the biggest bands in Ethiopia during the 70s known as Walias Band, he was the band's keyboardist. Toured all over and was the first Ethiopian band to tour the U.S. and play for the growing diaspora of people that were fleeing the oppressive regime of Mengistu Haile Mariam, the band basically split when three of the members including my stepfather stayed in America and claimed asylum while the others went back to their families back home. He was pretty famous back in the day, he bout to be back touring Europe soon actually.
